There is nothing more powerful in the world than the friendship between women.

The reason is "women understand" i.e. we understand that there is a continuing struggle for our sex to be seen, to be heard and to be valued in the same way as men, and that our greatest chance to combat sexual discrimination and gender inequality is to fight it together.

When I think about stressful moments in my life, I often find myself texting or calling the women closest to me. From my mum, to my friend Jas, to my social media mates, there's always a female friend I can share my concerns or problems with, because female friendships are far from the catty relationships that have often been exhibited in pop culture and media over the last few centuries.

The emphasis on female friendship isn't just good for some women; it's good for all women.
Having each other's backs makes women unstoppable.

With more women in boardrooms, government, the sports as to say in every sphere of life..strong female relationships can translate into tangible empowerment.
