Steemit logo everywhere?

I think it's a credibility thing. To prove they didn't just scrape the content from elsewhere, or aren't reposting the same stuff they've posted on another platform. Kind of like, "hey, I made this just for Steemit folks, I'm not just somebody who's copying and pasting random news stuff."

I figured this might be the case. I appreciate the effort, but is there anything actually stopping them from reposting content from other sites?

Nothing stopping them, and people do it all the time.
But I think when it's obvious that people do that, many of us try to skim past that.
Content discovery on steem is not a solved problem. So users are developing all sorts of ways to solve this. Some people are self-organizing around tags, others... use steemit logos in photos. :D

True that there is some kind of credibility-confusion at the time being.
