I've been working on this project for the last couple of days, cracking down the code to get 100 followers each day. So far I have been doing pretty good, getting 100 followers during my first 36 hours on the site. It has been challenging thought and I have been working a ton. I first thought that the trick was to post a lot, but I wasn't getting any upvotes, then I started to improve my content, spending more time on it, but I still wasn't able to get much traction. My third strategy was focusing on commenting on other people's work and so far it seems like that is the most effective approach for me. It is also the most enjoyable because I get to see other peoples content and interact with them.
The best advice I have received so far seems to be to focus on good quality content, but that doesn't ensure that it will be seen. I have written some really nice articles and they went unnoticed. I think part of it is luck. Timing also plays a huge role. There are some times to post that are better than others, I have posted an article focusing on that in my blog.
The weird thing is that, the times with more people upvoting are also the times with more people posting, so the fact that a certain time generates more cashflow does not mean that newbies like me will be able to profit from them.
I think that at the end of the day I gain more from just enjoying my time on this platform without caring so much if I get followers or upvotes. I am sure that there will be a time when I can easily get 100 followers a day, but I am not in a rush. :)
I am wondering if you have any advice to share with us so we can all grow our following on Steemit.
Thanks! :)
Thanks for your input.
I completely agree with you here. I truly believe I post good, useful content, and I get a lot of votes and followers through my content. But the negative of Steemit is that it really depends on the time of day you post and who else manages to see it. A lot of it is down to complete luck.
The last few days I've really taken to reading and commenting on others posts and my followers and traction have grown exponentially since then!
I've seen you've posted a few articles about cryptocurrency. I pretty much post the analysis I carry out when I make my investment decisions. If you ever wanna chat anything crypto then hit me up my friend! @jhcooper7

Right, the same first impressions you made, I made by myself. Focusing on good content should be the best way to get some pocket money by blogging and get informations out of steemit. Good luck Bruno!

Thank's for the advice. But 100 followers a day seems a little high, isn't it?

I too have been getting discouraged but since I started following you I truly feel more optimistic. I liked your post yesterday about times of day and days of the week to post for the most attention. I'm going to start doing much more commenting also because I think you're right, its the best way to make connections with people and.....its just fun! Happy steeming friend! Peace, Jill ;)

Hey Jill =D
Thanks for stopping by, you have no idea how happy I got reading that my posts help you feel more optimistic. I really want to have a positive impact on the people I interact with here. I know that commenting doesn't make much money, but its really beautiful to interact directly with other users like this :)

I totally agree! I just got home from work about a 1/2 hr ago but I'm dedicating the rest of my night to exploring posts from many different users. While we're on the topic do you know how to search for a specific topic? I know you can look at the list to right but that's only the "popular" topics. Is there a way to search?

Well as the steemian veterans say, commenting on to others posts gets you votes and followers. I don’t like 0 followers as I am just new here and my wish is interacting.
Thankyou
