Anyone know the whole intent of the 'downvote'?
Was it for protection from spammers and scammers?
Can getting in a downvoting war get people banned?

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
