I doubt that Steemit will develop into much of a market, the whole objective is to provide an alternative to the promotion saturated webs that now have become so tiresome to visit. Marketing oriented postings will simply not get promoted, and hence will not develop an audience.

The truth about Steemit, and why it is not a social media platform
The platform needs as many hands as possible contributing as much and whatever they can. I for one welcome anyone who believes in the platform and interested in finding ways to promote it.
I'll have @ned reach out to you Mark.

Dan, I figured out one thing I can start working on to help the platform. All I need from you or Ned is an ok. If you add a [email protected] email address on the first landing page of Steemit, I'll answer those emails to help newbies with their questions and point them to resources. You can get specifics on this with my latest post: https://steemit.com/steemit-help/@stellabelle/are-you-a-new-steemit-user-if-so-your-feedback-is-needed
But really, all I need from you is your permission and also you need to create an email address, and add it to the landing page, once people log in. Newbies have said that this would help them in the very beginning. Let me know what you think. I can start as soon as you give me your ok.
