How the heck did I miss this?! Oh must be all the resteems on my home feed. I wish for not only the perma edit button, but also another tab for resteems :| that aside, kudos to you being organized. I need to enroll in your class

I agree that it would be nice to filter the Re-Steems, or have them in a separate tab. It would also be nice to have a special comment attached to describe why we chose to re-steem a particular article.

YES! I hope this thought catches on and it reaches the top. It's also hard to keep resteeming if it buries your stuff and when you're new, not a very good idea. Bummer though since resteeming is the only way to save something.

I completely agree @creatr - we should be allowed to edit our posts even past the 7 day period since we are always asked to keep our content up to date. I used to think that this was a no-brainer until I once tried to update my content past the payout date and was unable to do so.

Great table of contents - it's so awesome to find all of your funniest blogs in the same place!

Thank you, I hope someone who has some say-so will notice...

I hope so too amigo! Your formatting and organizational skills on each and every one of your posts never cease to amaze me!

I am impressed by both your organizational skills and your computer skills. I love the table of contents. I see how this would encourage a master directory. I do not quite understand how it could be used for day to day posts. What are your long term goals with this? Are you thinking book publication may be? That would be great! I have a few new posts up including the old Davie and Goliath TV ELCA post. Well you are doing well and you are on to something Creatr. Blessings - Troy

"What are your long term goals with this?"

When people "discover" me, it is typically through one of my most recent articles. I would like them to be able to survey my writing, access older material, and make a more informed decision about following me and coming back to read more.

For example, I've been actively writing my "Braille Piano Method" series just recently. However, when I get to a good stopping point with that series, it will fall way down the "linear list." However, with a topical table of contents, potential readers who are interested in music will be able to notice a "Music" heading in my top-level Table of Contents, drill down, and discover the piano tutorials.

If the powers that be don't enable Editing very soon, this set of files will become a "snapshot" of my work up to early July. My previous Table of Contents was a "single level," just one document. I just wanted to see how a hierarchy might work, and so I am experimenting. The big question is: Will I be able to complete this before the week is out? We'll see... ;)

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you. Yes it makes sense. i do not know if a person would go though archival info (past seven days) and upvote,it you would get any compensation. However I do believe you are on to something my friend. i do support your efforts. - Blessings - Troy

You're correct, votes after seven days don't count (monetarily).

However, it's not about that... For example, the reader who wants to learn to enjoy the piano will still be able to learn from my articles... ;)

it sounds like a wonderful gift you are providing your followers. It also tells me you are truly committed to the enrichment of those who read your posts. I would love to do the same, however I will do not have those type of computer shills. What program or software you are using? H have a computer friend that might be able to help me do that. If you could offer a computer tutorial on how to index one's posts, the Steemit community would all benefit. Thanks for what you do. Blessings. - Troy

I'll try to put a tutorial together at some point, but probably after the system has been changed to allow editing! ;)

I'm always impressed with the layout of your posts. I like this format you've put forward here.

And Steemit, please bring back post edit capabilities! I have a lot of FAQ posts with seriously outdated information and people are commenting on them frequently. I want to edit them so I can at least tell people the info is incorrect and point them to the right place.

Thanks for adding your voice to the appeal for editability...

I wish I knew the right place to take a "full court press" to. I have a difficult time imagining what the reluctance is or what obstacle prevents a change that is so obviously needed and that has been repeatedly promised.

I made another disappointing discovery today... I came across an article in another blog that I wanted to Re-Steem, and because it was older than seven days, I was unable to do so! :O

Oh, and I see you sic'ed @randowhale on me? Thank you! ;)
