Can we get a proper explanation of the flaw in the Proof of Work and of the Delegated Proof of Stake here?

With the upcoming Hardfork, they won't be any Mining at all:

Can we get a proper documentation on that!!!

I mean I can't seem to find what the so called DPOS details are ?
Am I supposed to look at how to become a witness ...?

And what about: "PoW is being removed."

PoW has been broken for a long time. Very few people pay attention to it. It is dominated by the same few people and is providing very little value to Steem. Instead of investing even more time fixing it, we have decided to remove it entirely.

I think this really call for a proper rationale!!
You fix your proof of work, you don't just remove and stay on a sort of POS we are not sure is secure.
The risk: censorship.

I guess PoW in steem was mostly used only as a way to initially distribute some coins. If PoW is only used for every 20th block or so, it's essentially meaningless for security.

DPoS is quite a different philosophy anyway. I don't think it's really decentralized, but oh well. But either way, there might be a niche for that, and steem(it) has its place.

Yeah but I would like to see if DPOS implemented is secure since the POW was flawed already.
