I have played a bit today designing a small round token with the STEEMIT logo on top that you can 3D print yourself. I have used Sketchup as a software for making the token, I know it is not the easiest software for designing 3D models out there, but it is quick and does the job well for things that are not way too complex.
The token is round and has a diameter of 45 millimeters (4.5 cm) by default, though you should be easily scale it up or down from your 3D printing software (slicer). Scaling it up should not give you any trouble printing, however scaling it further down may make it a bit of a challenge for your 3D printer. So if you want to make it smaller than the default size make sure you increase the level of printing quality, so that the steemit logo will still be printed nicely.
The recommended settings for a good print quality and fast printing time are to use 0.2mm layer height and 15-20% infill for the default size of the token. Increasing the size of the token could allow you to go to a lover layer resolution of like 0.3mm for example and still maintain a good level of quality, but if you go for a smaller size you may need to increase the layer resolution and use a 0.1mm layer height for better results.
Below are some examples of actual 3D prints of the token that I made, two in single color material - black and white, and two in dual colors - black/blue and white-blue. Many other combinations are possible of course, so you are welcome to experiment. The sample 3D prints were made on a Makerbot Replicator 2 3D printer that uses single color printing filament, read on below to learn how you can still print in two different colors on that 3D printer.
If your 3D printer can only work with a single filament there is a neat trick that you can use to print in dual colors. Just pause the printing at 2mm (there is an option for that in 3D printer menu), this is how tall the base is, replace the filament with the second color and resume printing and you get dual color prints with the base 1 color and the steemit logo in a second color.
Have fun experimenting and hope you like the STEEMIT Logo Token I made and shared here, below is a link to download the 3D STL model and start printing and experimenting with it yourself. I'm off to 3D printing some more tokens with different color combinations.
Now that's very, very cool! every day I see how we move on ! this makes me happy! thank you for the great work !

wow even in dual color :)

Yes, you can easily print with two colors even if your 3D printer does not come with dual printing heads, I have described how that works above.

do you know if you can also combine abs and pla filament together?

In theory you can combine them using this method, however in practice because ABS does shrink more when it cools down the bond between the PLA and ABS might not be that good as if you use the same type of material. Also ABS n PLA usually have a bit different settings for printing and that may cause additional problems.

The 3D prints really turned out pretty cool, need to try some more color combinations.

So cool I can't wait to get my 3D printer to print a few of these!
