These 3 girls lost their mother, father, best friend & provider due to a mistake in the medical field. One day a beautiful 53 year old woman who worked formerly as a 9-1-1 operater in NYC had gotten a routine check-up at her doctor on Staten Island & he said she needs to prepare herself to undergo colorectal surgery which means that they have to stitch up her anus and re-route her small intestine to pertrude out of her stomach and it will have a bag attached at all times. Elizabeth Ann La Massa checked into Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital on October 20th and she never got the chance to check out. During her 23 hour procedure that was only supposed to be 8 hours her youngest child sat in the waiting room & every hour on the hour she would go to the chapel in the hospital & pray that her mother was okay. After hour 18 the surgeon had called the waiting room to ask for a decision from her young daughter on a move that could have been what had made it fatal, he said i have your mother open on the table & since she can’t speak i need to know if you want me to take out her ovaries the little girl had said why he said no reason for now but she isn’t using them and in the future she might get ovarian cancer & he said that if he was asked to make a decision for His mother he would give the OK so the little girl said okay BUT he failed to mention to her that he also took out her spleen and her appendix & she had flatlined on the table so he already had her mother’s body in shock by taking out so many organs & to save his own career he made that little girl make a decision that will stay with her forever. On November 5th 2016 Elizabeth Ann La Massa checked out of the hospital but not by foot & not by wheel chair, she had checked out in a body bag. These girls didn’t have jobs nor do they have family to support them they have gone down to welfare to try & get assistance and they were shut down. Those 3 smiling faces haven’t had a chance to smile due to worrying about their next meal & if national grid or Con Edison is going to come shut off their electric which Con Edison went to the home that their mother left them & shut off the electric on December 11 2017 which also made the heat shut off. Calls were made to beg them to turn it back on & the man on the other line laughed & said maybe you should pay your bill on time. This story is to remind you all that what you have today you can lose tomorrow nothing in life is guaranteed except death & if you see someone who needs help or who has too much pride to ask for help a kind gesture will make their day more than you could ever imagine & if you just so happen to be inspired by this story i can set up a go fund me page for them or if you’re in New York City & are willing to donate food or blankets for this family I’m sure that’ll be much appreciated & i know this because Elizabeth Ann La Massa was my mother
