why wouldn't a hacker group bit torrent the files?

    I think they just did, at least parts

      You can download the full container (layer 1-5) on bit torrent and encrypt the documents (verycrypt)till layer 2. Until they are not getting their requested money, they won´t give you the key to encrypt layer 3-5.
