So my friend tells me about this social media site that is like facebook only you can get paid to post. I was like "yeah right". He told me how he got paid again and again for making post. I finally made a profile and posted. One of my first post made $13 steemit; I was like WTF! I have a lot of questions. Listen to my podcast below for my full take. Maybe you can help me understand this..

YouTube gives you all those stats too, possibly even more.
But I see now why you're usinglibsyn, maybe you can post both the YouTube and libsyn links when you post?

Lemme clear up a few things in regards to the money thing.

More votes doesn't necessarily mean more money, at least not how you think.

There's a tier of people who have more or less ability to give out money, they are metaphorically referred to as minnows, dolphins and whales.

Minnows are people with not much influence, you can have hundreds of them vote on your post and only make like a dollar or two or less. Me and you are minnows.

Dolphins are mid range, they may individually be able to award a dollar per post, I'm not sure exactly how much, but they are sorta midrange.

And then whales can give a lot, they are the ones that will give the $10 or $20 or more posts.

Also I hear you get about 75% of the total, so prolly like $10 instead of $13 in actuality.

I would once again liken it to investing in a company, the company is worth an amount, thus you can pull your stock out of it if you want to, or you can invest more. If everyone pulled their money out, it would probably die, but the more people who use it and invest.. The more lucrative it becomes for everyone.

PS at least that's how I understand it, I don't totally understand it either.

Oh another thing, if you get like 100+ upvotes or even less, it may not represent the actual amount of upvotes from real people, people use bots and I'm not totally sure how it works but I think whales and dolphins upvote with bigger numbers than minnows. So 100+ upvotes doesn't necessarily mean 100+ people even clicked on your post or upvoted.

There's a lil eye icon that shows how many people click on your post. I think that better represents how many people viewed your content.
