How To Catch Content Theives On SteemIt & The Web

in steemit •  7 years ago

I noticed people were complaining about content thieves on SteemIt. Well, I've got two quick solutions for you to catch and follow up/report these people to the proper authorities.

Using Google Images

  • Go to https://www.google.com/images
  • Click on the little camera icon
  • Paste the URL of the image or upload it from your computer. This is the image in question
  • Simply click on "Search by image" and see how many dicks are stealing your content

Using Copyscape

By using Copyscape, you can catch people who steal written content. Here's how to do it:

  • Go to http://www.copyscape.com/
  • Enter a page you think people might be stealing from (bonus tip: I pay a premium price to batch search my whole site. Really quick and you get to check your whole website)

There are other advanced methods I use, but I don't think their necessary unless you ask me below. If it's something y'all want to know, I'll add it in the content.

You're welcome. I just had to do it because I noticed A LOT of the content on SteemIt was either stolen or being re-posted. Not cool.
