Total Rewards Fund In STEEM Slightly Increasing, Indicating Less Activity On The Platform

in steemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

According to steem.supply, total rewards fund in STEEM increased with a bit over 1%, from under 700 thousands, a couple of days ago, to 712 thousands, at the moment of writing.

Recently, Steemit encountered some technical problems, many users being greeted with error messages indicating backend issues. I noticed a significant lag in steem.supply querying content nodes as well. This may or may not be related to a more widespread bug, described here, and affecting a lot more platforms.

I also noticed this morning that almost all bots stopped voting, which resulted in a loss let activity.

I am just impressed looking at the comments here, Steem has got so much potential and such a great community it is insane .

you better believe it! :)

Hope that things will be back to normal soon....i too noticed slow access to the site few times...but now it looks OK!

Yes, I have also noticed it, only that you are wrong 3 orders of magnitude... :) It is 700 thousands, not millions!

Yep, sorry, the percentages still relevant.

This isn't a time to relent but a time to work harder in other to put steem at the top on coinmarketcap.

time to pull up our socks and get steeming.I believe that the day Steem has an official mobile platform is the day steem will truly take off in mass adoption. If people can post comments and get paid for there time , there truly is no reason to use FB or other such sites.

With the rewards being so good because of the STEEM amd SBD price, I've increased my activity a bit, trying to post at least once or twice a day, but still keeping a good standard.

Steemvoter service is down.

plus

STEEM increased with a bit over 1%

== Bots suck up 1% of Rewards

almost all bots stopped voting
really?
awww...too bad...so sad.
any idea why?

nope, apparently steemvoter is down, but I don't know why.

several tools that I've grown used to seem to be experience problems. SteemDollar and SteemStats for example. Steemwhales hasn't been updated in over a month last I checked.

How do these two relate? I mean how did less activity lead to more reward fund??

inflation continues, so new tokens are minted, but if they aren't claimed from the rewards fund, the fund will increase. If people don't vote, there's no "allocation" from the rewards fund to the rewards, also.

Ok, thanks for the explanation

For the last 3 / 4 days, my wallet's value has been steadily decreasing. Thought it was a glitch in the system or the value of steem falling in relation to the $. The day prior to that though, my account had tripled in value so it was probably down to the nature of the upvoting experiments I was running. I wasted quite a few votes on my own minnow status that went and trumped it by getting second thought of the value doing that and removing all said upvotes. The 7-day lag is breaking my heart. Very confident things will be great in 3-4 days (off my latest tactics). The wait is doing my head in though. :( ;)

And of course, time on steemit's still the best investment I ever made.

Apparently some Steem RPC nodes aren't responding and you can't specify a backup node in apps... Or so I hear. is this why bots quit voting maybe?

Most likely.

Yeah I made a post last night and didn't get some upvotes for quite a while. I had this nagging feeling that maybe I was blacklisted on steemit (paranoia begin to set in), but glad to see this is a sitewide issue.

Steemians wake up, shake up and let's increase the comments, the blogging, the posting, the upvotes, the resteem, and the following to increase our activities.

hope steemit is back with lots of activity again. This is the time to actively participate because the value of steem is high

thanks man ! Really helpful. I'm looking forward to see more of your posts in the future, and I'll vote you as a witness

i love steemit..........

700k is nice fund, any idea how much we usually spend per day? i mean in upvotes

I also noticed that there were some errors/slowdowns yesterday. I think all issues are resolved now though.

your post is very informative... tnx for shearing this !!!keep it up sir!!!

Helpful post...
Much obliged for sharing it

thanks a lot for sharing @dragosroua

It has happened to me before but everything is working perfectly well now.. I will read more of your stories to learn more.. I will bring more people on here but I need your support on my posts so as to tell them more about it

yes sir i too had to face it many times..but dont understand this thing
"all bots stopped voting, which resulted in a loss let activity."

Yeah I bet it definitely has to do with the technical issues and a lot of automated services not working. I feel like we have a ton more activity since the price spike.

I don't know why but sometimes i really don't like the whole bot vote thingy. but o well if it does favor some people, as we say in Nigeria..." who am i to put sand in someones food". so guess i have to be sympathetic at this point. steemit will always pick up.

This post is really helpful

Hope that things will be back to normal soon.

#Upvoted and resteemed sir
