We tell our kids 'it doesn't matter if you win or lose; but let's be honest, winning feels pretty good. In fact it has the best feeling in the world.
There is nothing like that golden moment in the sun when your kid wins the home run or dancing contest, or comes top his class. I think every parent want that for their child. You know, maybe a little bit for ourselves too.
Sometimes we push too hard and that leads to resentment and guilt. How much is too much?
I have seen parents become sore losers in the process of pushing their kids too far. They always miss the point that it is the kids that matter in these win or lose scenarios and not them.
Your children needs to know you believe in them. You must let them see the belief in your eyes every time you look at them.
When you believe enough in them, then they will believe in themselves. You tell them they have wings, them they will fly!
WHY YOU NEED TO TEACH THEM
Kids are wonderful and they are extremely intelligent, If you fail to teach them how to win and also how to accept defeats, you will be creating in them, the sore loser mentality which will go a long way to mess them up.
Being able to win is one thing and being able to enjoy winning has its own struggle.
Some kids are used to winning, but living as winners comes as a struggle and some tend to become bullies. Some are so used to losing that they become bullies as well. Kids who lose often tend to see themselves that way and then create a character that helps them define how they see themselves.
As parents, you must avoid telling your kids they are losers or that they are disappointments. Whenever such words comes from your mouth to them, they believe it because they also clearly see the emotions in your eyes that clearly tell them of your disappointment.
Their minds are young and fresh and whatever you 'sow' in there will ultimately take roots.
What are you telling your kids about winning and losing? Think it through and do right by them

The Super Bowl is a game. Life is for real. What I went through helped me get to where I am today. I won't forget. I can't forget. Because a man who forgets his past sometimes loses his soul and forgets where to go in the future.
