He said, She said, Posers and Scammers...

Don't talk to them they are a poser, they have fake accounts...said by others with low reps and no posts...

Wanna buy a bridge?

So can I just say...I was hoping Steemit would be different. My silly notions, because one cannot escape the collective human condition, while trying to be involved in a social group.

Anyways, I will be over here, minding my business...literally.

I will put up posts when I do, mentor and visit the pages of the people who enjoy talking in the comments on my posts...and aside from that I will wait and see if the powers that be here can sort through the mess of crap that seems to get thicker by the day. I give it 6 months, and then we'll see where it goes. I joined in May, and things have done what seems like a 180 since then...

I hear you, for sure. The homesteading community has been somewhat of a respite from SteemIt as a whole, because I see so many people here actually still creating original content. It seems that about 90% of SteemIt is all plagiarized reposts of articles from elsewhere online, so it's refreshing to still look through my feed and see Real People.

I know it's inescapable that humans full of greed will jump on a good thing and wreck it in some respect. But I also like knowing that there still are decent people who are making beautiful things and still choosing to share it.

It's hard knowing that so many of those beautiful things are leapt upon by uncreative vultures. It's one of the many reasons I haven't joined any other groups either. I don't want to play the game--I just want to share our story and learn from other people.

SIGH, haha. Seems you hit a nerve with me too.

Yes, exactly...so I plan on mainly hangin' in the garden with you guys :)

My quote of the day, "When the world gets crazy...grow something better :)"

And why I remain separate from groups....

Yep... <3

See the greatest gift we have is we do not have to be part of that! I love steemit because we have that.

Yeah, all I did was welcome someone who said they were a prepper...and got jumped on by people telling me he was a poser. No proof of it, just going off on the guy. They clearly had history on youtube, but didn't need to involve me since I don't know any of them.
Maybe the guy is a poser, and maybe not...maybe the other one just has a grudge...it is just not my fight, and they can have it. I have no time for it...so opting out :)

Yup I have been watching that train wreck for a while now, haters and trolls are just going to hate and troll... Reality is that steemit is big enough for everybody yet they keep their YT ways and don't understand just how juvy school yard bully tactics just don't float here, different class of people.

Yes, exactly...For me, I just retreat, I don't need that in my life...at all. The world is a big enough place that I don't need to hang in the places filled with BS

A useful tool is the mute button ;-)

I saw that conversation, and was amazed by the amount of time angry people apparently had to make insulting images and gifs. Don't you have anything better to do??

That is pretty. Again you are so talented. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks gardengirl :) It was a fun one to make...I love kyanite

Oh dear, without naming names, what sort of group are you referring to?

A Discord group, a curation trail, a Slack group...

I (luckily) haven't encountered any issues like this so far.

I will message you on Discord...

I saw some similar nonsense recently and ran as fast I could (digitally of course) away from it. Considering the rest of the internet, I think steemit is doing a great job at keeping the floods of garbage at bay. It's really a war that the engaged, creative, thinking, conscious people have to actively battle. I'm not sure how to crush it, but I pretty much gave up on social media until I found steemit. Hopefully more tools will be created to allow quarantining that junk from our feeds and interactions.

Same here...I was staying much to myself until Steemit. I mod like 3 groups on fb too, with thousands of people in them...but they are beading and crafts, and one was all fundraising for StandingRock. Mainly people who are pretty cool and creative...but Steemit is so much better. I do hope it stays that way...
