Autoplay won't work on here, because there would be no way to turn it off, and that would suck big time.

My point is, not everybody likes autoplay; for instance if you're viewing Steemit on a mobile, you might not want to use up your data with autoplaying videos. I personally find autoplay annoying, and I always turn off the feature on Youtube.
