DLIVE is Changing the Way I Use the Internet.
Hello friends and family! You may have noticed that I haven't been spending much time here on Facebook lately and I just wanted to take a minute to explain why AND show you why you shouldn't either.
Anyone that knows me well knows that I have been on Steemit pretty hot-and-heavy.
Facebook had it's time and place and, just like Prodigy, AOL, MySpace, (etc), the time has come to improve.
Steemit is a decentralized social media site that runs on a blockchain. For those who don't know WHAT a blockchain is, really Steemit has made that largely irrelevent. All you need to know is this is a social media platform that has never been seen before built on a foundation that is still very new and innovative in ways that are going to change your life, whether you are an early adoptor or not.
Just because you don't have an interest in the blockchain, doesn't mean the blockchain won't eventually have an interest (and usage or value) to you.
What Steemit did was build the foundation, the blank canvas if you will, and it is up to the users to create THEIR masterpiece. Thousands of programmers have taken the torch Steemit passed on to build something better, every. Single. Day. The way the rewards system is built people are given incentive to build something that brings value and ease of use to the platform: AND THEY ARE REWARDED FOR IT.
Steemit offers something NO OTHER social media platform does: a reward system both for content creation AND curation.
But that is not what I came here to tell you about. Steemit really does have something for EVERYONE. Regardless of your interests, hobbies, skills, abilities, there is something you can gain AND add value to.
Steemit is just the foundation: since it's inception many other platforms have been built ON TOP OF the Steem blockchain. DTube is a decentralized video service much like youtube. Utopian.io is a way for programmers and graphic artists to receive rewards for improving Steemit projects. Dmania is a platform used for sharing funny photos, memes, gifs. Dsound is a way for people to share music and podcasts (anything audio) and get rewarded for it. What is amazing is that is just off the top of my head, things are being added EVERY DAY to the platform to combine the best of the internet in one place.
All of those platforms are great, but since DLIVE came out around December that is pretty much all I have been on.
You could even say I am addicted.
DLive is a decentralized streaming platform that allows anyone with a computer and internet connection to live-stream. Many people are using it to stream their games but there is a growing movement within DLive for people streaming educational shows, talk shows, music shows, food shows, you name it! If you can imagine it you can create it on DLive.
What truely is amazing, not just on Dlive but the entire "steemi-verse" is the community. People are given incentive to not be a pain. You find that when a different social environment is fostered people respond differently. Dlive has an AMAZING community of people willing to help. There are people from all over the world on Dlive at any given moment and you have access to help 24 hours a day. You can literally go on their discord server having no knowledge of how to stream and successfully be live within an hour.
Where else can you get that kind of help?
The community is supportive and helpful in a way that I have never seen before on the internet.
So, what I would like to do is invite you to steemit.com and Dlive.io so I can show you that there is a better, more rewarding and more satisfying social media platform out there.
Dlive has given me a lot and I feel if you give it a chance Steemit.com and Dlive.io can help you find your place on the platform.
Please, don't hesitate to message me and ask more about Steemit and Dlive or any of the other platforms. There really is something for everyone.
