Single Biggest Improvement Of Steemit Interface Is ... Autouploading, Dragging & Dropping Or Pasting Images From Clipboard

I've been around Steemit since last May. I've seen a lot of changes although the user interface hasn't really changed a lot.

If I have to point out the biggest and most welcoming improvement in the user interface, or as it is fashionably called these days, the UX, that would be ...

Autouploading Of The Images

This is without doubt the best move that the development team has made so far. I am sorry to be so late giving full kudos to them.

No more cumbersome upload to other sites and the searching for the link to the image and then copy pasting it into the edit form of the post.

All you have to do is:

  • drag the image file from anywhere into your post or
  • get the image itself somehow into the clipboard and then click into the post and paste it - pure magic - or, if you really must,
  • click on the selecting them link, browse your local storage and select the image.

That's all.

Yes, you can copy paste the URL of the image as you've been used to in the past. It is still working. But the new way of adding images is so much easier and quicker.

Creating a tutorial with lots of images or a photo gallery from your recent travel is now a breeze and a piece of cake.

So ....

Dear Steemit front end developers - you rock!

Now, all your team needs is a decent UX designer :)

Ps: there is a bug or at least a small glitch hiding within this new feature. When you copy paste a long text into the post from, let's say excel, it gets pasted. But it also gets created as an image somehow.

Dear team, are you aware of this feature?

Ps2: the cover image was, of course, dropped from the local hard drive straight into the post. Yes, the spring is coming :)

Thanks a lot.

As I can see the cover image is no longer there. Eh ... :)
