Uh Oh. Is something wrong with my Steemit!?

It seems as though I can't transfer any Steemit points! I'm trying to have a friend help me but the instructions he's giving me aren't compatible with what I'm seeing on my screen! Can any one help!?

I've been in desperate need of money as of late. My son is diabetic and I'm a single teenage father. I'm at the age of 18 and it's just me and my son against the world right now. A friend sent me 5 Steemit's to help me out and such but I can't seem to transfer the money. Can any one help? Please?

False Alarm, People!

Seems as though it was a posting issue! As soon as I made this post and went back to my wallet, Steem seemed to have fixed itself!

nice i see you got the problem fixed.

Also, at our present time transferring crptocurrency to USD is not easy, requires alot of work, and may not be worth it for just 5 steem (18USD 7/21/2016). I would recommend holding onto the steem as an investment it may grow just as bitcoin is doing (once $2 now $660). Steem and other cryptocurrencies are new and have a lot of room to grow.

but incase you are curious here are some methods iam aware of...

  1. link you bank account to a cryptocurrency exchange trade steem for btc then for usd and withdraw
-however exhanges tend to have massive withdrawal fees for withdrawing USD (ex. $50)
  2. Trade your steem for BTC then find a local bitcoin ATM machine and withdraw into cash
-these also tend to have high fees (some reaching 10%)
  3. There are some sites that let you use crypto currencies so you don't have to turn your coins into USD check http://spendbitcoins.com/

Thank you, thank you. This helped a lot.

Are you able to tell me how i can transfer Steem to my PayPal?

You need to login. Click on the upper right corner (profile picture) then click login. That way you will have the arrows next to your balances.

Thanks, I did have to login.

He solved it now :)

I find in the UK the easiest way to exchange btc to gbp or eur is via https://www.coinbase.com, and then from coinbase to bank account, not sure on the usd system
