Blocktrades' delegation is being used for massive comment spam

in steemit •  7 years ago

you can see it how you want. But normal people will not put up with this kind of arbitrary bullying especially where no meaningful appeals process. and then people like you victim blaming acting blase about littleboy's bullying. Sure the original downvote is arguable the collateral $17+ is not at all merited especially from someone who is championed as a steemit police.

Steemit could be revolutionary if normal people join and get into it. Arbitrary rules without due process is unlikely to help with mass adoption.

I'm sorry but that's the way it is. And it's not that bad that it's that way, although if someone take a dislike to you it does suck.

My advice is get a better attitude. You are not entitled to any rewards - at all. Only by the votes of others (and you if you're into that) do you get rewards for the pool. I think you maybe feel more entitled because you're self voting too, so you think no one should be able to contradict that. But it's not how it works.

For the record I don't support @littleboy at all and he is definitely not known as a "steemit police".

well we will have to agree to disagree. What;s wrong with self-voting? How are these values about self voting being bad self-evident?

Where have I said I am entitled to anything?

I never said anything is good or bad. But I will assert that not having the rules of conduct is negative. Once more of a culture is formed and people can better be informed of the rules of conduct then people will be able to better gauge and evaluate time and capital investment.

I don't know what you want steem to be and do. But I want a free speech platform that maximizes the ability for people to express themselves and incentivizes that. The cutlure littleboy is creating and you are perpetuating with your victim blaming I contend is counter productive to the value I see in steem.

hopefully the market will decide what is the best way to allocate the creation of new value. And if steem does not competitively manage these incentives then it opens a niche with which to be competed. I think letting littleboy's anti-social behavior run rampant is one of many things that will undermine the chances that steem is the major platform that mediates exchange of ideas and values as time advances toward infinity.

I'm sorry that you feel I am blaming you as a victim. I'm not blaming you for getting robbed, largely because you were not robbed. I don't say that you brought it on yourself, I only say that you cannot control the behavior of @littleboy. You say you want free speech and yet want to shut him down. So really what I am seeing are no victims, rather two people having a fight, which I have stepped into because I think you could benefit from my perspective.

I call you entitled because you think that someone down voting you is theft. There is no code of conduct except that which emerges from the actions of people here. A culture has already been formed but lucky for us all this is not a static thing, it changes over time, though slowly.

The market will decide, and we can make sure of that by not calling for people to be shut down. Some people take it into their hands to down vote people because of a disagreement. This is fine. But the system itself will never be used to shut someone down.
