What really pays is not our posts

What pays us here is our determination to be committed, consistent, socialize and contribute to the success of the platform, with zero considerations on personal gain. I'm saying this because if posts are the real deal, I would be a millionaire by now with 2790 posts in less than three months. Okay, you can't tell me my posts are not worth upvoted, cuz they are but I haven't been here long enough. I haven't made enough friends. I haven't contributed enough to the community. I haven't just given enough to trigger much receiving. Now, I'm not saying I have not earn. With my reputation, you should know I have got good payouts. But what I have gotten so far is a product of commitment and consistency, not posts. I post more than four times daily, not minding if anyone vote or not. In fact, if you don't upvote this one you are reading I'll still post something nice in few hours

Let me take you back.

We all joined Steemit with the priority of making money, except you wanna lie to yourself. But you know, it's more than making money. It's a place we are challenged to be better, for those that choose to stay after the blows of low payouts. Just like someone starting out for a marathon race, meeting people on the way with greater achievements might be pretty intimidating. The drive to succeed clouds our minds from asking questions like, how long has successful people being running?, rather we ask, how can I succeed quickly?. Now, you gonna get a lot of answers on how to grow fast in Steemit from people who aren't growing fast. Isn't it funny how people advise people on how to do what they can't do?. Funny, right. I have been a victim of both ends, so I just decided to stay if I succeed, I succeed. If I don't, I still stay after all, how much have I earned from Facebook, tweeter, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc?.

My take on this?

Run the race without looking back, because those that looked back ain't anyway better. If you stop posting for not earning, you won't start earning for not posting. Let us ask the right questions from people if we want honest answers. You don't expect me to tell you it's difficult when you ask how can I make it fast here?, because I don't wanna discourage you. So, you help me to be honest by asking, what can I do to succeed and how long will it take?. Take a look at the two types of enquiry, one is fueled by greed, one is fueled by a willingness to be committed.

To my brethren on Steemit, let's blog with hope, let not scam for miracles overnight, though it's possible. But fixing our minds on quick cash will label us greedy and here, we might just meet with disappointment
