Shouldn't Steemit show a split between Posts and Comments on the Profile page?

in steemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

Well as you can see from my Profile Page, I am very new to Steemit. As a new user with some experience in blogging, I find it a bit confusing to see the Post and Comments being clubbed into a single entity for e.g mine says 89 posts.

Shouldn't these be shown separately i.e a split would be ideal. To someone new, it becomes difficult to judge a profile as to whether they are posting content or just commenting on posts.

Any thoughts or comments? I may be wrong so please correct me.

Follow @GyaniBilli .. I am new but post quality content :)

I was curious about seeing my comments vs page posts. It would be nice but admittedly there is obviously much bigger fish (bugs?) to fry.

Yes, that's completely understandable. BTW, on a side note.. How did your comment manage to get 18 votes?? whereas the post only has 2.. Is that a bug as well ;)

I also just started and yes, it's irritating

When I started this month, I was confused too.

Then there are other tools to show you the number of posts / comments.

Definitely agree with your suggestions though! I guess it's a matter of time and we will soon see this... and many more new features. :)

Yes, I am excited to have found Steem and sincerely hope that the Platform continues to mature

I think that such improvements are many. However, the most important question is whether at all such information is important? Maybe we should hide it? FB and reddit dont have it
