The Tuaregs, also known as the Kel Tamajeq (Berber), are a group of Berber ethnic people who live in the central Sahara and its neighbouring countries (Algeria, Libya, Niger, Mali, Mauritania, Chad, and far north Burkina Faso). They are split into multiple confederations and tribes.
