Streamlining Life
I enjoy what I do. It's amazing to be able to inspire, motivate, and encourage people. I also of course know that I am not a machine which I have to remind myself of all the time. Otherwise I will try to climb Mount Everest in one day so to speak with trying to get my work done.
So here's what I will do to make sure I am still supporting those of you who support me. I am now compiling a comment autovote list. Here's the rundown of how this will go.
Comment Autovote Details
- I will select the most loyal commenters to go on the comment autovote list (spammers and bots this sucks for you)
- You will get only one upvote on each post you comment on and a maximum of two upvotes per day even if you write more comments
- I will increase the upvote weight to offset not voting every single comment from each person per post
- I will stratify the percentage of voting weight each person receives. I think this is only fair in order to reward those that continue to show support vs those who support every now and then
Some of you mentioned that abusers would take advantage of the autovoting. However, the cool thing is that I have control over who makes the autovote list or not. So those of you, you know who you are, that always support and encourage me will be on that list without question. Much love to everyone.

Because you have so many commenters, that should save you some time. What service are you using to do that? I use an autovoter service to hit some of my favorite authors (like you) in case I'm not around to see the post. I don't know that it has an option to upvote commenters. What's your secret? :)
It seems like you're getting organized and that should help in a lot of ways. As things start getting crossed off your list and you start feeling like you're making progress, you'll get even more pumped to see more dominoes fall. I hope it keeps happening!

I get not wanting to lose the human element, but for people like you, I don't want you missing out on my vote because I believe in your content and you as a person. I want to support that, so I set the autovoter to give you a vote and then when I have time I come read the article. At least then if I don't have time, you still get a boost. I think that's what it's about, at least it is for me.

I totally understand you auto upvoting some people, you get around 20-30 comments each post, you have a life, you have to create content, you have to take care of your child... it's a lot of work for just 24 hours!!
What normally helps me during times when i'm overworked is having a schedule, you might need one... but it would kinda runaway from the whole point of being a full-time steemian which is not work a 9-5 job...

Schedules and me don;t mix but what I am getting better at is setting rough time frames for when I need to complete things. This gives me a bit of flexibility.

Actualy...I think that these options are great for supporting friends, or fellow team mates if you are in a group or team here on Steemit! I like to use Streemian though because it sends me notifications to read my favourite author's posts, and that way I can make sure I read the content I like and can go and comment on their stuff! I also still love to randomly browse through Steemit, find new people everyday and upvote new content if I like it!

That is absolutely how I feel too, sometimes I spend 1-2 hours answering my comments to show my appreciation for every damn comment.
But I simply cannot do that anymore, it takes too much time away from my life.
2 hours writing a post, then answering comments, then writing comments on other blogs and boom 4 hours of your day are gone.
Then I have to add the episodes to Steemschool, work on my other goals, hit the gym, record new material, do the housework etc.
At some point you can simply not handle all the input anymore. Yesterday I talked with some people that said that they were getting over 50 messages on Discord with "Hi" messages.
I do not get that much but they take time away too, then I talk with other people on Discord too and boom.
The day is over. One has to draw a clear line here when the work on Steemit is supposed to be over.
For example setting a timer for 4 hours and afterwards you are free to do whatever you want.
You don't need to write a long answer Earl, we talk for hours on Discord anyway.

I have been a true lover of your write ups and that's why I followed you long before now, but due to some challenges, I haven't been able to comment and support as often as I should, but I pray I make the list.
As for the topic I would like you to cover? I wish you can throw more light on the issue of using bid bots on steemit for self upvotes, ranging from the good, the bad and the ugly aspect of it. As a new newbie on steemit, I was told that dishing out quality contents regularly will fetch me nice curation rewards but so far so bad, bid bots have taken over the show while quality contents are being neglected and this doesn't encourage or help fresh newbies to steemit as most of them if not all, don't even know about the use of these bid bots till after few weeks of persistent struggles.

But I'm always weary of too much automation as it kinda take something (maybe the human side of things) away and people always find a way around it. I want to assume you will still do a bit of manual voting. some people come once in a while and even for the first time to a blog and drop a great post worthy comments which i think should be properly acknowledged and rewarded.

That's a pretty cool idea to save time without ignoring your most committed commenters. You are very right in you approach, as life is very hectic with so much busy routine, so its not possible for you to manually curate each and every comment. It would save your time and effort that can be put some more interesting thing.
