curation rewards v/s author rewards

How does steemit differentiate between the two?
e.g. how does it find out if a video I posted is mine or from someone else?

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
