Advertisers could buy-in into Steem and write/up-vote articles supporting their products. There is not necessarily a need for a new feature on this? However, we would need more users to get interesting for advertisers. Until now I can not see the exponential growth of the user numbers.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
