Information Overload: A New Challenge For Users Who've Cultivated Who They Follow

in steemit •  7 years ago

I sat down at the library today intending to write a fun little post about video games, the current state of the industry, and my wish to participate in more of what's going on in it.

However, I sucked down the rabbit hole, so to speak, and found myself hoping from post to post trying to get at the heart of the conflicts Steemit is currently experiencing. Also I follow so many people that are creating good content (and I've in the meanwhile been carving off dead accounts and users that post things that I find interesting) that it's hard to read it all.

There's simply too much good stuff. Which is funny, because when you're a new user on the platform the problem is usually quite the opposite.

So my two posts for the day once again is getting relegated to one. Well, I at least haven't failed to post for the last few months, so there's that (although it's strange that I haven't gotten the @steemitboard badge for it - I suspect it has something to do with @steemitboard not correcting for time differences such that maybe two posts fall on the same day?

Anyway, back into it I go.
