I'm assuming because it's based on the value of steem, and as it goes up and down, so does the value displayed on the posts.

    Yeah seems right since it is pegged to the dollar (hence $)...interesting though since I have not noticed that.

        i didn't understand it before and I was like where did everyone's money go? is it a hack?
