Why should a whale to

in steemit •  7 years ago

Upvote quality content for those little curation rewards when they have the option to sell their upvote for great rewards.

Am I the only one who feel the real purpose of Steemit is ruined by these "services & bots"?

Exactly my current logic (using smartsteem). But the solution is not complicated: Just wait until SBD corrects back to $1 🙃

That can be true! Thank you so much!

hi @ xaero1 how are you? please help us to work, please make a design contest for us. :D

sorry, i want to ask, are you a witnes?

Although many minnows seem to think whales « should » vote for their so called « quality » content. I don’t see a problem whales try to get some profit after helping a lot of minnows already. Whales put so much risk on this platform whatsoever.

wow bro awesome comment

I don't know man. It's not profitable in terms of money for the users of this bots, I've learned it from my personal experience. but still it helps you in some other ways. you get a boost in your reputation which helps to get your hard-worked contents to get the noticing they deserve, once they've got the high rep. everything has it's upside and downside. Yes, it is ruining the basic purpose of steemit to some degree, but it is helping some little ones to keep being positive and hopeful, which, in my point of view, will help the whole community's benefit in the long run. I'm relatively new here, and still finding out the ways of this amazing platform. Please, help me to understand if there's anything wrong with my observation :)

You are right. Bota are not profitable for users but I am talking here about whales who decided to sell the upvotes. I am not saying it is their fault but maybe of the system because allowed bots

well, money attracts men like fire attracts moths. However, what makes us human is the ability of consideration to measure and analyze when it starts to hurt ourselves, others and the environment; thus, we can save ourselves from burning. everyone should make the best use of that human-ability. I think we should keep in mind the well-being of the community, and do everything with consideration, because ruining the platform will ruin all of us :)

Yes I do feel the same. Not long with steemit yet but also realized certain things don't resonate with me. thanks for mentioning it in that post

but its loss for new steemers all big fisher sell votes so, new user its demotivate just like me

you will have a prize,,,great post.........///////////

The many Bots and services around Steemit, are taking away from the real person interaction. Pay to play type of scheme. I personally don't use any of them and try my best to support and converse with those whom I follow and who are following me.
The services and Bots I feel will lead a lot of people away from Steemit. If you don't have bunch of sbd then you are not going to get any rewards. I believe will be the thought process of new comers.
Just my .02

Some one tried me down vote ... I not even use upvote bots :(
And this is not good... but I believe it will be end one day this bots problem .

it is such a good point also

I prefer quality instead of quantity. By the way, I'm not a whale. Maybe I never will be, but I hope to continue enjoying steemit.

I wrote something about a possible solution here:

https://steemit.com/steemit/@zemiatin/crazy-feature-idea-marking-posts-that-received-upvotes-from-bots-with-an-asterisk

If you have the time maybe you should read and tell me what you think. I'm only posting my link because is somewhat related to the bot problem. So please don't hate for shilling it. :D

Although I use them also myself to stay at least alive here, I'm convinced that this kind of developement wasn't in the interest of Steem itself. I like the concept of Steem, but you know, people are figuring out stuff and here it's still better than to get ripped off by Facebook ;)

That's also true

the real purpose is not to make money? ;)

that's why i don't use these bots you get nothing in the end

Just wait until SBD corrects back to $1 🙃
