The Ten Commandment Of Steemit: My Experience

in steemit •  7 years ago

Hello great Steemians, once again welcome to my blog and am happy to come your way again. To you, you have been a source of inspiration to me and am at this point in my life because of you.
Today am here to share my experience in Steemit since I became part of this community some weeks ago and I believe my experience will help you get to the next level.
Am here to share the 10 things I have learned through my interaction in Steemit and there are the do's and don't of every steemit platform user.
Being in a community like this is one of the greatest privileges that I've found and am not mincing word, and everyone that aspire to share his views and earn from his views must discover steemit, in one way or the other. I have made my views to be heard, I have made myself visible in steemit and my area of influence has expanded. Thanks to the steemit platform.
For the newbies, there are many things that have come across mind when it comes to the platform are you are confused not knowing where to go to, many questions running through your mind and you have even asked yourself questions like how can I get to the top of the community? Am I visible enough? why can't my post give enough that can take care of me? Or you see a whale posting and his or her post attract a crowd and you are wondering how on earth has this happened to you don't worry learn through this and you will get to the top as fast as you want.

                              THE TEN COMMANDMENT OF STEEMIT

1st Commandment:

THOU SHALL NOT PLAGIARISE!
Eh, in steemit, plagiarism is absolutely frowned at every stage, for you to make sense, be original. Originality in every area of life. You don't have t copy from another website into steemit, just know that if your post is discovered to be taken from another website without citing the site which it was taken from, thou shall be flagged and your reputation reduce. Guess what? Nobody wants to deal with someone that his or her reputation is questionable. Ask those around you that you have vowed not to do business with, that is because that person character is questionable. Your reputation in steemit is your character. Keep it real, keep it original, the effect of copy from other people brings about laziness and steemit is not encouraging laziness at all, no lazy person will make it in steemit. You need to "THINK, THINK, THINK"!! Stretch your brain till it produces a result. The sweat of the brain brings about the sweetness of life.

2nd Commandment:

THOU SHALL NOT BEG FOR AN UPVOTE!

Wow so serious? Don't you know that if nobody upvotes me I cant make my $? I know that very well and I was in your shoe, but you know what? it is highly prohibited in the community. Let people find your post interested and they will like it by themselves and reward you for that. Let it not be said that you went to a whale to ask for an upvote and you are flagged down. I heard of someone in my community that asked a whale for an upvote and instead got flagged and his reputation dropped. 3rd Commandment:

THOU SHALL BE CONSISTENT IN POSTING!
Do not be weary in posting for after a while you shall reap if you do not stop. One of the ways of earning in this community is your content. Don't stop it because you if you stop it, you will not get anything out from steemit.

4th Commandment:

THOU SHALL SOCIALISE AND FOLLOW OTHERS!

Anyone that becomes an Island die an Island, you just come into steemit and you think that people should upvote you, you don't think it out well. Socialise, make friends and talk to people, open your communication line, and see things flowing into your direction. A loner dies a loner, get to know who is who in the community, I know it may be challenging at first, but have you ever thought how these people got to the place that they are now in steam? You got to follow people to understand how the system works. Be a learner, it never a waste of time. You are a privilege to come to steemit at this point. What of those that spend money on data without getting anything in return? until people show you how the system work, you will not know what to do. Following entails reading the person post, giving comments, upvoting and you shall get these also in good measure, pressed down shaken together.

5th Commandment:

THOU SHALL COMMENT CONSTRUCTIVELY!

This is another way of making money in steemit, I could remember my first $2 that I got from steemit, it was from a comment that I gave to a post and the person upvoted my comment and I collected the money.Never read people post without leaving a comment on it. Please in a community like this never use phrases like "nice post, oh lol, you are funny", give a comment that will cause the person to smile that his or her effort is appreciated.

6th Commandment:

THOU SHALL BE PATIENCE! IT MAY NOT BE YOUR TURN.

Never be in a hurry to get anything in life, just wait for your time, you will surely get to the place.Take your time, go through the process of learning, the reason we don't make much is that we don't pay attention to this, work steadily and your reward will come speedily.

7th Commandment!

THOU SHALL BE THYSELF!

Be real, be polite, no faking of who you are not, make sure you leave people better than you met them, give out a helping hand, you don't know whether you are doing it to a whale that will introduce you to another which will always be there for you.

8th Commandment!

THOU SHALL INTRODUCE PEOPLE TO STEEMIT!

No community go far if nobody joined them. So steemit will not grow until we the users get people to come in. You will be wicked if you see this opportunity and you refuse to tell others about it. Get people around you to become members of this community and make the community to grow.Help reduce the poverty level in our society. Help people in need, let them know that there is a piece of wealth in steemit that everyone can benefit from it if they sign up. This is your contribution to humanity.

9th Commandment!

THOU SHALL BUILD A COMMUNITY!

Just try as much as possible to build a community or join existing community because your bulk money will be from your community. like the other day, one of my community was attack by armed robbers and they carted away his phone and laptop and it was our community that contributed money to get him a new phone to be able to come back to steemit. When things fall apart, it's your community that will help you out. Please identify with one today.

10th Commandment!

THOU SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TAGS!

Using the right tags give you a better visibility. Right tags put you through to the right audience, the people that need your content most. Don't you ever use a wrong tag.
I believe you have learned from me.
Your contributions and feedback are always welcome.
