Maybe a "Steem Health" widget could be made that shows you how balanced you're using steempower, like:
70% complete 30% to go until you get a variable vote slider, keep going you're doing great!

Someone would just have to make it, it's all in the API. If you go to steemd, steemdb, or steemstats you can see your current voting power at least.
