Today I wanted to talk about Steemit and why I love it and the reasons why this site can be the next big thing !
Just as a disclaimer, I'm not a technology expert and i'm still just starting my journey with cryptocurrencies, this is just my opinion about Steemit.
So, these are the things that I love about Steemit :
1/ The Community :
People here are very supportive and nice, there're not so many trolls on this site like the ones I see on Youtube, the comment section here is usually clean, people just share their opinions or encourage each other, hate in the comments is very rare.
2/ The Technology :
Steemit is based on the blockchain technology, few days ago I learned that steemit is hosted by people like me and you " elected users or witnesses", this is different from the classic structure where the website is hosted by certain companies, it's called decentralization.
Also the data can not be removed which is also great.
3/ The Rewards :
On steemit, you get paid by STEEM and STEEMDOLLARS, which are cryptocurrencies, their prices are most likely to rise, I love to think about it like mining, you're making coins that will be worth more that their value now.
4/ The Payment :
You get paid weekly, compare this to Youtube or adsense and you will see the big difference, you also get a coin that you can convert and spend online which is not the case with other programs, so here you have more freedom.
5/ Social Media Revolution :
No censorship, you can say whatever you wanna say and there is also a NSFW section, so you can share whatever you want, you get paid real money for upvoting and commenting, which is also a new thing to this industry.
6/ No Ads :
No ads, no banners, the website is clean and simple, advertisers can push their content and get their spot on a separated tab, no need for an ad blocking product.
7/ The Developers
Developers get to creat tools and websites related to steemit, which is a great thing that guarantees the success of steemit in the long term, great to know that great, smart individuals are supporting this website.
These are just my thoughts about Stemmit, what do you wanna add to this list ?
