She is the " X (insert nerdy title) - girl and she is into the things you are. Could there be a chance for you and her to join your interests and have 2 babies on a blockchain fantasy? Could it?
I am amased how people fall for this bait, but then again, it is the oldest trick in the book since we left the caves. Advance half a million years and the only upgrade the story got is a technological facade to repeat the same story. Amazingly enough, feminism will never come up in these posts. There is no issue with "equality" were nerds whore themselves with cosmopolitan-style social media venues as "The Shoe Guy" or "The Make-Up Guy. It would be considered pathetic. A girl does it? Her Steem account flies through the roof. Now, that's what I call pussy market power.
It's been said that the success of a blockchain project depends both on the quality and the adaptation level from the community. I have been on Steemit for almost a week now and I can't help my self but see the same ol' tricks on the book repeated and rebranded much like in the rest of the social media world.
We have the chance to make Steemit, something new. Something special. Something different from all the things we run away from in the social media scene. Hopefully the community will soon realize these common pitfalls and make Steemit something unique for all of us.

Although i agree with you, Steemit have a place of everyone in the world, maybe 1 of a 100 of these "nerd girls" is true, and we can't judge them all for some bad apples trying to earn quick cash. And woman being more succesful in steemit, i think that got a reason, there's 1 woman for each 9 men in here, if a couple of them get money, that could bring more to steem and using blockchain, so we could be in a more balanced site.
