Who can explain Steemit payout to a newbie?

in steemit •  7 years ago  (edited)

First off I want to say that I'm not interested in upvotes for this post (that is not my intention) but rather the knowledge to know how Steemit operates. I think a majority of people have the same question.

Specifically the payout math per post. Is there a formula? Can anyone explain the payout per post?

I've been researching this topic for a few days now to understand the very mysterious Steemit payout system and I have to admit that I'm more confused now than before. I and others would like to hear from Steemians in the know.

Please resteem to your peers so we can get some solid explanations from those with the knowledge.

I thank you in advance for all comments or points in a direction to research / learn

This is the best explication:

Saw that, but the question is: How much does it cost Steemit to maintain the peg?

The currency is being created so the more it's used and valued the more the currency is worth so essentially they're making money.

Thanks I will watch

Dont worry about money, just be happy with what you are doing ,its better to not focus on money in life ( sure you need to make a living) but money also brings most problems in life.

Thanks @finkavenue but I'm more interested in how the actual payout system works. I mean how do you know the math behind a payout per post? I may not have made that clear initially. We see theses numbers big payout per post and just wanted a explanation on the math behind that topic.

You mean the algorithm behind the reputation, trending, votes, and Steem power? I have no clue, still trying to figure it out myself lol.

...and how all that creates the value of a post?

I think it's all about quality, and getting people with high reputation to resteem your posts.
