CEO of Steem Powering Down

Is it not important and strange that Ned, CEO of Steem, is powering down right now?

How this affects the long term commitment with Steem and its value?

Many of the accounts that were compromised by the attacker started to power them down. Ned did not initiate that power down. Today we are starting the process of restoring accounts to their rightful owner and in the process Ned will cancel his power down.

Are you going to cancel your powering down as well?

Your title is missleading IMO, and your question shuold be written this way: Is it inapropriate and strange that Ned, CEO of Steem, is powering down right now?
First off I would ask you how do you prove your point, because I don't get it form you linking his profile?
I just see that his steampower is rising and he doesn't have any steem or steem dollars so he is not powering down as far as I understand.
Please prove your point or be carefull with you write if you knowledge is lacking and invest time and effort into learning, else people will downvote your posts.
Good thing that even writing something and absurd can get you money here. :)

When you prove your title point and first I would like to see how discusion about your secound question evolves, because im interested in it. In my second post discus my opinions on theory of whales powering down.

That is what you shuold have included in your original blog, but not this way but with some picture I suppose to have stronger point. So to be correct you should update your post to be more more informative.

I can confirm he has powered down, otherwise it wouldn't say when the next payout will be. Expect the market to be hit with a lot more steem in a week.

Hey, you can't blame a guy, or girl, for asking. In a sense, the leaders /lead developers of these crypto projects have a similar role to that of public company CEOs, etc. (in that they're awarded stock options, etc. and e.g. if Jeff Immelt started shedding GE stock everyone else would assume they should follow suit for whatever reason.) So, it's a good question to ask. Given the hack it's understandable that things will be a little topsy-turvy for a bit and will settle down soon.

+1 I only see damn high rewards.

It is also theirs to do as they see fit just as you are free to do what you want with the steam power that you have earned

sure. but a CEO who probably sells his shares doesn't arouse trust.
edit: I see! It was hacked.

I asked myself also what the devs will do with their rewards. But wow! That is a lot SteemPower. give him more #selfeSTEEM

So the question is what happens if powerhouse with 1 000 000 SP powers down?

I found that powering down is happening due to to hacker attack.

  1. People start losing faith in platform. Its not realy reason to lose faith, because if they power down that dosn't mean they are selling for money.
In case where they would sell it for money which is thier own right, that would be case to think.
  2. By powering down those powerhouses in a way admit I'm not he smartest person here so my vote should not be so strong, and i should let other peoples votes mean similary to mine vote.
  3. So the reason why powerhouses don't power down is 1. point I made and becuse the belive there is more room for growth (since your money is as far i understand multiplying most if its in SP)
  4. Most sane and right way for powerhouses is indeed to power down since by powering down they would aknowledge others thoughts and points to be vaild as theirs and everbody would benefit. 99% of powerhouses earned their rightfull power and what they do with it is their thing what they do with it.
  5. Powerdown takes a long time 2 years in weekly payments, and even when then powerhouse have major power during that time, and its right way to be if we can agree on point that their power is rightfully earned in first place.
