Most of us believe in STEEM and Steemit and think that it will take over the world and the universe
BUT, what if STEEM price won't show this, what if STEEM price moves downwards with new accounts ? There are a lot of people who registered and never put a penny in STEEM, I'm not saying that's bad, some people can't afford to invest money, but they invest time. :) I'm just saying that people that invested nothing can write amazing posts and get a lot of STEEM and if they don't power up and simply take it to the exchange and sell at any price, because it's free (yay) - that might have been putting the price down all this time.
So the more people Steemit gets, the lower the price goes ?
That might be the case yes. I'm not saying that Steemit needs to stop accepting people or anything (that would make a very poor social network). I'm just saying that more people who get STEEM means more people who might undervalue it on the exchanges. ** STEEM dropped by 14 %(!!!) in the past 24 hours.**
Whales, to the rescue !!
Well not our whales, new whales. We need people to invest huge amounts in STEEM and power it up. We need a big demand created in the market otherwise the huge influx of STEEM going for sale, because people want money, can easily destroy the price of the currency, maybe even put it back at the levels of June.
Is this the end of the world ?
Of course it's not the end of the world, even if STEEM as a currency dropped to a low price, we'll still have Steemit where we can complain about it. :)
What can I do to help ?
Don't transfer your STEEM into exchanges - just power up.
If you do put it in an exchange, sell it for a respectable price.
Buy tons of STEEM on exchanges and power it all up.
Get STEEM listed on a new exchange so the demand and volume increases.
Contact huge investors and make them buy the currency.
Please.
Are you sure ?
No, I'm not sure, maybe I'm being pessimistic again - come on STEEM, prove me wrong ! I dare you to get up by at least 50 % today !!! :P
The open market cannot afford to pay a couple of thousand dollars of value each time @dollarvigilante dumps his crap in steemit. That's why price is crushing.

Lock up your funds for 2 years in a free-fall currency.
Great advice!

Haha, it's an advice to help STEEM not help yourself. Decreasing the supply should increase the price.

Steem went from $0.20 to highs of $6.00. That was a big pump and we are now in correction. Hoping to settle in around a buck. Get your buy finger ready.

yeah people aren't buying it as fast as it's coming out of the chain. Also this just happens, especially with crypto currency. Look at the history of bitcoin. It fluctuates like crazy.

This should be addressed. One of the criticisms of steem is that it produces more steem too easily. Perhaps it should be slowed, maybe pegged to user growth.

If your loss is so great that selling now wouldn't offset much of your investment, you might want to hang on for the long haul. It's a risk.
