Hey Troy, are you a homesteader or are you an Internet addict? Which is it? Because you really don't do a lot of homesteading in your videos. Instead it seems you live your life online. I think you need to reevaluate who and what you are. Allow me to help you.
You claim you don't have a lot to do on cold days and you don't have a lot of content ideas. What's more, you showcase your crazy Bedini skills, which frankly few care about, and isn't really homesteading, is it? Why don't you focus on your garden. There a lot you can do this time of year to ensure your garden is a success (finally) after five previously failed attempts. Here are some things you could be doing this time of year:
When are you going to put plastic on your greenhouse? Are you going to heat your greenhouse?
Are you building racks and trays to grow seedlings for transplanting in your garden?
Are you collecting ashes from your fireplace for your overly acidic soil?
Are you scavenging compost items from nearby farmers, etc. to create your compost?
How about getting garden tools ready for spring?
Sharpen and oil tools such as shovels, mowers, etc.
Change oil, put in new spark plugs, and maybe add a fresh coat of paint.
Could the wheelbarrow use a fresh coat of paint?
Have you started creating your strategy for new spring plantings?
Have you been contacting new construction projects in the area to see if you can get some topsoil for free to add to your poor soil conditions?
Have you created a map for your 2018 garden so you can order seeds from catalogs, which will be arriving soon?
Why don't you perform a soil sample and send it into your local extension office so you know EXACTLY what kind of soil conditions you have so you can plan accordingly?
There...I look forward to you not waiting until the last minute to work on your garden this year. I just gave you a good road map to start. I'll come back and give you more tasks to do in February.
If only his Youtube subscribers could think like this.
