it doesn't delete the article, but it can stop it from getting to "hot" or "trending". So in a way it deletes it from most people's visibility.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
