Rewards used to be paid out 24 hours or so after your post. There was a hard fork last Thursday which is an update to the code of the platform. As a result of that, the payout mechanism switched from paying out after 24 hours to paying out after 7 days.
This new payout is averaged out over the previous 30 days reward pool.
As we have just switched to this new mechanism the reward pool was reset. There is no previous 30 days to base rewards on so the new pool is filling up. After 30 days it should be full and rewards back to normal
Dammit, that still sound complicated. Let me know if that makes sense!
