✳️ Blogging on Steemit ✳️ You Have a Story to Tell ✳️ Even if You're "Just a Musician" ✳️ Like Me ✳️ 😊

I often look at all of the things I am involved in and realize how "One Dimensional" I am. 😊 You know, how did I end up posting on Steemit❓ 😂

But being one dimensional, being good at a certain thing, is what makes heroes and attracts us to them.

  • Denzel Washington: Actor
  • Aretha Franklin: Singer
  • Ronda Rousey: MMA Fighter
  • Sugar Ray Leonard: Boxer

Did you notice how being (seemingly) one dimensional also encompasses being multi-faceted? Let's Look.

  • An actor learning to play different characters
  • Singing different styles
  • An MMA fighter using fighting skills for scenes in a movie
  • A boxer adapting to the fighting skills of other champions

With me, everything always comes back to music. But within that, I have several things that I am involved in.

  • Music school owner
  • Guitarist
  • Music Teacher
  • Performer
  • Author (Guitar Books)

Maybe you're thinking:

"I don't have anything to post on Steemit,"

  • "I'm just a nurse"
  • "I'm just a mom"
  • "I'm just a mechanic"
  • "I'm just a welder"
  • "I'm Just A Musician"

The thing that you do, the thing that you are good at is always multi-faceted... you just have to see it. Then you create your Steemit posts, and tell your story-there is plenty of material. 😊 I would venture to say that many here in the Steemit community would love to read it.

Steem on friends-Let's do this!! ✌🏾

Thank you❗️ 🙏🏾 😊

Great post mate. I just came across this platform claiming to be a 'Steemit 2.0'. Might be worth a look: https://steemit.com/steemit/@benadapt/steemit-2-0-sphere-offers-usd5-just-for-signing-up-for-an-account

We all have stories to tell and people may enjoy them. The whole Internet is your audience and someone out there will share your passion

Yes indeed! ✌🏾😊 Lots of inspiration too!

i love music

I do too - always ✌🏾

The concept of being seemingly monodimensional but in a multifaceted way is very interesting. I also believe that every human being has many various experiences to share, even though they only personalise themselves within one activity. Because this single activity can be subdivised into multiple perspectives and experiences. You used a very good example when mentionning multiple music styles. I followed you for your vision. Be well and stay inspired!

Thanks so much!! Much success to you! 😊

I just love it @melbookermusic!
Yes, just find your one thing and focus.

"I fear not the man who has practiced 10000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10000 times." - Bruce Lee

😊 Yes!!! Thanks! And I
Love Bruce Lee. I've seen this movie so many times too. 😄 👍🏾👍🏾

Yh, me2. My dad got it on VHS when I was younger :D

I found you on youtube, you have the same name there as here. You are making good music unlike Justin Bieber . Just keep it up

Thanks so much!!! I will. 😊✌🏾

This was a great post on how everyone is always more than they appear. When someone is well versed in a topic, the minor details can form major chords when choosing individual parts of a passion to write about!

I'm facing the opposite issue however, it appears that I may in fact have too many topics, stories, and things itching on my fingers to write, but I don't see any cohesion between these vast topics. This has been plaguing me for a while now, I'm wondering if you'd have any advice for me.

I deviated from other social media because I feel that I can write more of what gets my hurt burning with passion, so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place because on Steemit it's #1 to write I want.

Am I hurting my following by doing this?

@shello hmm... not sure. You're super talented in many areas. I, on the other hand, am not 😊 I don't really see how your talent will be a detriment here on Steemit-that's just MHO. I was lucky enough to have a really hard, but really good English professor in college, and he made us write a lot. But YOU are really a great writer. I'm not sure holding in everything as opposed to writing, and getting that stuff out is the right thing to do. It's kinda like me and this guitar. I don't ever see myself putting it down, not expressing myself with it. It will probably be time for a box if I ever do. I think people follow you because you're talented, and you connect with everyone so well. Maybe ask yourself if you had to describe yourself with "one main thing" what would that be? ie Heidi Travels.

Hello @melbookermusic, this may be just the advice I was looking for! I have to get my ideas and all the things that move me, out here on Steemit. I do delve into several topics, because switching between projects helps to ease my frustrations, rather than only going at one all the time.

Your blogs have helped me to see that while we both have talent, mine is distributed over a spectrum, while yours is more "laser focused", both of our styles have pros and cons. I wasn't sure of where I wanted to go with my account, and at one point wondered if I should make a second account for other projects while covering my main objectives here.

After hearing your opinion on this, I'm going to run with a better choice of keeping one account and posting a little more often. I can use this to post two posts on the days that I write, but have both focus two very different topics!

I feel like doing this won't flood everyone else out, I can continue to post all topics that Im about, and potentially expose my followers to new topics they may have not been reading otherwise, while continuing to deliver the contrnt they enjoy.

My overarching theme has always been goal accomplishments and growth, and you're right- I don't have to sacrifice the other parts of myself that drive me to force myself into only one niche.

Thank you so much @melbookermusic, whether you realize it or not, you've become one of my great mentors that I've had the pleasure of getting to know better during my Steemit adventures.

Stay blessed!
