Kodak announced that it would launch its own cryptocurrency, planning to organize the ICO at the end of January
In an official communication, Kodak said that the cryptocurrency will form the basis of an encrypted digital book of property rights for photographers.
The point is for photographers to be able to use the upcoming Kodak blockchain to register works, and "KODAKCoin" would function as a medium of exchange on the platform. Users can receive payments in cryptocurrencies and also pay for the rights, according to the company's data.
This means that Kodak revealed its interest in the technology for the first time. The company is known for its products related to photography.
At the moment, it is not known how much Kodak intends to get through ICO. The sale of tokens is scheduled for January 31.
