The Fantastic steemit delta: The journey, the thrills, the six bottles of pain and how the journey of four hours turned into thirteen.

Ready? Let's go!
Feel free to come by road, by rail or by air.

The night before the adventure was quite cool. I forgot my phone at a friend's place but was too tired to get it. So that night, I slept early since my phone would have kept me up till 2am.

Finally, morning came but the thrill of the journey was stabbed by those I traveled with as there was a change in plan. We all agreed to meet at the car park by 8am but suddenly received a call by @ehiboss. So I got destabilized and left back a lot of things.

My fellow travelers were;

@ehiboss
@illuminatus
@mediahousent.

The journey started quite well with music playing and we all couldn't wait to get to Delta state and we looked forward to swimming during evening time after me must have relaxed.

Shall we pop the bottles?

The first bottle of pain.

This came when we realized the driver didn't get fuel at our area just to get in another town but for a cheaper rate. Unfortunately, there was a very long queue at the feeling station where he intended to buy. So we had to wait for close to an hour!

The sun started to rise- The 2nd bottle of pain.

Finally we got the fuel and yeah, we sang "Steem Delta! Here we come"

The journey continued and the devil smiled it big ugly black teeth at us again! Suddenly, the car started to jerk, till it came to a sudden stop!

Then the driver announced the sad news- The fan belt suddenly got damaged. The driver went to get a mechanic and we waited for more than an hour.

It was at this point that we started to lose our cool. Without wasting much of your time, I will open the fourth bottle of pain as this is the third.

Of cos, the car got repaired and we proceeded till we encountered a terrible traffic jam. One of the travelers had to pull off their jacket since it was smoking hot!

We were all covered in sweat and very tired. The traffic Jam continued for hours and this was what led to the fifth bottle of pain! Shall I open it?

The car got damaged again! It was this time that I realized the true definition of being caught between the devil and the deep blue sea but truly I say unto you, that sea was black!

The driver said battery suddenly became completely weak. So he said we needed another battery to insert it into our car and then ours will work. I didn't really get the whole gist but one thing was clear, we had to beg for battery!

This was around 3pm and we should have gotten to delta by 12pm.

I am not done yet, let us pop the sixth bottle! The last.

Okay, so there was the traffic Jam, it started to move slowly like a snail and one would think it would be easy to get battery but no!

We begged and begged, no one gave us battery. Finally we found someone, they did the whole exchange but it didnt work!

An hour passed! Four hours passed!

By this time, we were really thirsty. I was very dizzy. Finally, an ice cream seller passed. We quenched our thirst.

The road was clear and we were still stranded. . .

@mimy: Are we going to sleep here?

@illuminatus, @ehiboss, @mediahousent: .((%€&*€€€&

Well, that's if you can read their angry response.

Finally, We got someone who helped us to another junction. Against what we planned since our car which should have taken us straight to our destination, we had to enter different cabs and bikes.

One would think the journey would continue without problem (This was around 9pm) but when we were getting close to our destination, the cab had a flat tyre.

Well, we continued the remaining journey with bike and got to our hotel around 10pm!

So crazy! Stressful but to my travelers, I enjoyed the time spent.

What's up with the steem Delta meetup?

First, I must say kudos to the organizers;

@destinysaid
@ejemai
@tojukaka

They did a wonderful job and I love the venue. There was a flurry of activities at and some of us introduced steemit to those we passed by.

@ejemai gave a brilliant speech and has a way with words. With all he said, he made it clear that it is up to you to make you!
@ehiboss spoke on the need to introduce oneself properly as this is a stepping stone to one's steemit journey.

@michaelcj, our father Christmas who refused to give me gift saying it's just meant for kids. E pain me o...lol.
Everyone had a lot to gain and share.

It was nice meeting @nmalove, @nairadaddy! Oh yea! It was good to see @ewuoso again!
Finally, I saw the face behind @tfame3865.

I had a nice time meeting new steemians. It's no news that steemit is another planet: A planet of love.
We all related like we have seen each other before.

The thrills of knowing we do the same thing, we understand the same thing (steemit, post, comment, upvote, SBD, steem, steempower, bitcoin, changelly etc) these knowledge we all shared helped in creating a bond!

After the talks! We took pictures!

And now I am posting in my room, thinking about the lovely people I met today.

My friend, my state's person, I forgot your name. I wrote down the names of those I met at the meetup which I should have mentioned in this post but I can't find the paper where I wrote it! Oops!

It was fantastic
