As those of you who follow these pages on a regular basis know, the last couple of months have been a struggle to raise fund for our huge property tax bill.
Well, the due date has passed and gone, and the taxes got paid! In large part, we have Steemit to thank for that... one of the "rewards" for years of diligent blogging has now proven to be that we still have a place to live!
Of course, powering down one's account is pretty much the exact opposite of what we strive for, around here. But isn't it good to know that when the tough moments in life do come around, we have something to draw on?
So now begins the long road to rebuild... but that's a whole story onto itself!
Rewards are interesting things... earlier today, I found myself thinking about how much work I have done in life that received absolutely no reward.
The thing is that I have often chosen to do things for people — on occasion, a serious amount of work — who had no capacity to pay me for my efforts.
That's one of the ways we sometimes stay poor, even while working very hard.
It's an interesting thing to contemplate the idea — a paradox, really — that what you do only is perceived to have "value" as long as you don't receive any compensatory "value" for it! A man who will be wishes to be considered a hero or a patriot will offers gifts in order to be considered a sui generis, that is, the only one of his kind. Such a name could pamper his pride and make him feel that he is the first of all, instead of the first among equals. He gives the impression that unless he is considered as the source of bread and butter by others they cannot exit.
Such an attitude of mind which I call arrogant and pride. Sometimes, I wondering what if we are all to pay for the breath daily, how will some of us survive? This is a very big question which I have no definite answer to it, but one things is sure that majority of us would have die by now, because no matter how much it is, many wont be able to afford to pay, but thanks to creator who made this breath available for everyone.
A person who wish to be considered or regards as a patriot will serve the nation, not because of a sincere, patriotic desire to promote peace and good government for the masses alone, but to also be remembered by subsequence generation in the country or continent. One man who wishes to promote his wealth will do what will make him to be looked upon as the source of all good to all men. And there are many such people in the world we are living today.
Whatever they give to the poor is not given in order to help alleviate the suffering of others, but, in order to be looked up to as the source of blessings to the poor in that community.
One day, the owner of a certain shopping mall returned from America and in the second day he decided to visit his business place, but he pretends as ordinary man, he walked in to his mall to buy groceries, and another man drove in and parked his luxury jeep at the shop entrance; before the big came out of his car, the gentle man has already entered the shop, but immediately one of the shop attendant saw this gentle man with sport kits, she snub him and expecting the big came in to the shop.
This gently man (owner) feel so bad he call this attendant boy, no answered, he continued shopping picking few things he needed, as the big man came in, he was received warmly with full attention; attendant started asking him; what do need sir? On this side we have jewelries, on this side we have overseas fashion dress, the gently man was looking at them, big man told him all what he wants, within a very short time this attendant boy got everything ready; he packed it and went to put in the car boot and return to its duty as he was entering back the big man gave him some pocket money and drive away, the gently walk to the counter requested to see the manager of the shop, everyone was looking at him.
Manager came out of his office and saw the gently man (the owner), with the respect and honoured Mr. Manager welcome him; shop attendants/workers was surprised what is going on. The Manager introduced the gently man to be the owner of the shopping mall, Manager itself doesnt know the owner has back to the country; it was unexpected visitation to them; beside some of the workers doesnt recognized the owner, all they were told is the owner stayed in America; all the workers was afraid expected the owner reaction as regards to the boy attendant boy, the attendant boy knee down and started begging the gently man, but the owner reaction surprised everyone has he forgive the attendant boy.
In Conclusion: to be emotional in dealing with every situation can be sickness, which all of us might have been infected with, it is such a sickness that causes many peoples to court compliments and admiration for themselves, would you not give up that life of emotional and develop the virtues of good and passionate humanity? Forbearance and Self-Control. I want believe if you and I were the owner of this shopping mall; you will not count that as disrespect and fire the attendant boy? On this occasion, I would like to show again a mushroom that is in the forest of Aceh. This mushroom I found was between the branches that had rotted on the ground with a low humidity level for mushrooms to grow.
I did a mushroom search with some of my friends where they also taught me a lot about mushrooms and even taught me how to produce amazing photos. we in the community always hold meetings to just discuss various aspects in steemit, and the development of each member.
Mushroom is a plant that is very beneficial for health and is often used as herbal treatment, some mushrooms are even poisonous and can even cause death.
Fungi are plants that cannot produce their own food because they do not have chlorophyll as a material to carry out the photosynthesis process, so they are called heterotof plants.
Fungi are in symbiosis with the host to obtain the remaining substances they use to fulfill their nutrition as heterotrophic plants.
