Up vote bots: whats the deal?

So this is my third day on the platform and I've been solicited by a good number of these "Get up votes but give us your steem power and get rich quick scheme bots" or at least that's what it seems to be, or maybe I've just been suffering from a stress induced hallucination in lieu of my Borderline Personality Disorder the last three hours on account of my wife leaving us five here to fend for ourselves as she so selfishly goes to work down at Hortons.

(Im just foolin she's actually the hardest working women I have ever met and the love of my life)

Our Four wonderful children have all been screaming and running around in beautiful synchronicity, but its cool the sounds of my two darling little white dogs,

and little dogs are always the absolute loudest naturally

going absolutely off the hook as the sounds of the neighborhood firing up their snow-blowers fills the air

Ahh yes the music of my people.
