How to be successful on Steemit?

in steemit •  7 years ago

I have been working on multiple sites like Fiverr and Blogger to earn enough to afford my education expenses but I did not get the response I expected. Then I came to know the platform which I am currently working on and that platform is Steemit.com. The Platform gave me quick return for my hard work compared to other platforms which were tedious and laborious.

From what I have experienced on this platform, I would give some suggestions and recommendations which can be highly helpful especially to those who want to excel on the platform.

  1. Commenting

If you are a newbie to Steemit and don't have much quality content to post as yet, you don't need to worry. You can cover the lack of content quality with quality comments.I have seen many people using some typical words and sentences like "awesome", "great", "superb" without even reading the posts which is a very bad strategy.

So, the first and the most important tip for the newbies would be to properly read the post, repeat reading it if you do not understand in the first attempt and then post a relevant comment on the post you are reading.

Better to click on the "NEW" button once you log in to Steemit and comment on the posts appearing there. The new posts normally don't have comments as yet and it provides you an opportunity to be the first one to comment and the one posting it definitely upvotes and follows you.

  1. Follow

Follow other Steemians and especially big whales whose rating is above 60. Once you follow big whales, it automatically will help you get posts of high quality in your feed and high-value upvotes from the big whales.

  1. Resteem

Resteem posts of big whales to get noticed.

  1. Busy.org

Busy.org is also a good website to increase your chances of getting upvotes. The procedure is very simple. You have to just log in to Busy.org with your Steemit credentials and then post on busy.org and your post will automatically appear on both Steemit and Busy.org sites. This dual-appearance will definitely improve chances of your post to be noticed and upvoted.

  1. Establishing relationship

Try to establish the relationship with other Steemians and especially the big whales. I would say the best strategy would be to bookmark the profiles of big whales and those who are generous in upvoting and make a list for yourself. Then comment on such profiles regularly. Always upvote those who give a positive response to your posts.

  1. Focus on specific niche/niches

Try to focus on a specific or at most of three niches. Focusing on more than three niches would make it very hard for you to get enough rewards that you expect from Steemit.

  1. Content

The king of Steemit.com is Content and only Content. The content should be enough meaningful and captivating that compel other Steemians and especially big whales to resteem and upvote it. The quality content helps you to come under the radar of "Big Whales" and once you come under this radar, then nothing can stop you from being successful.

Try to write yourself instead of posting contents and links from other websites. The content copied from other places have a minimal chance to be noticed on the Steemit.com. You must always use a photo or photos to make your post more attractive.

  1. Never Lose Heart

I know it is very tough to start every kind of work and same goes for Steemit.com but you must not give up even if you are facing the worst kind of situation. Persistence, Perseverance and hard work are the keys to success.
