Yesterday the user @flauwy had his birthday, and he shares some experiences he made during his steemit journey. He mentioned something really interesting for me and i want to ask you.
The question was that people who want really achieve something here on this platform should invest a bit more of time into it.
I definitely agree with that if this is your goal.
An example he shared was that it should be possible to make a short post like posting just a picture. This takes not so much time. So there are no excuses even if you have a fulltime profession.
I find this interesting and want to hear your opinions what do you think about the following question:
Is it working to use Steemit like Instagram?
When I mean like Instagram, I talking about posting just pictures, only pictures with a short description.
Well, I think it depends.
For example, I can good imagine when a photographer is sharing his work only through pictures.
Also when the picture is used for a challenge.
Or if someone is making this kind of Post in between of longer written articles.
But in general, I think that Steemit's focus is more on writing than just sharing a picture.
In my opinion, it has a typical blogging alignment.
What do you think?

I think Steemit is similar to reddit and it should stay this way. I would rather think it would be cool if something new independently was made more similar to Instagram. This could be made Using the smart media token, what do you think ?

I honestly don't believe that this form of using the site will work for the long run.

Agreed,👍😉 i was just thinking this and i do use steemit more then any other social network, something like Instagram on the blockchain is more likely to be useful, live videos and other features that Instagram has on app just like steem it. Is it just our dreams, maybe not, with the blockchain movement today. Smart tokens maybe so. Im sure we will find out soon, Until then we steem on. ✌

Ich denke, es ist absolut legitim mit seinem eigenen Blog das zu machen, wonach einem ist :D
Es gibt ja genug erfolgreiche Blogs hier auf Steemit, die 7 Tage lang an allen Colorchallenges mitmachen. Streng genommen wird der gleiche Content angeboten, wie bei einem Instagram Account. Ich bin somit nicht unbedingt der Meinung, dass man hier auf Steemit längere Texte schreiben muss. ;)

Wie ich ja auch im Text sagte lässt es sich nicht allgemeingültig verneinen ;)
Z.b erwähnte ich ja auch die photochallneges.
Die Frage geht eher in die Richtung, ob sich diese Art von Content auf der gegenwärtigen Steemit Seite lohnt?
Aber das muss auch jeder für sich selbst entschieiden^^

It was created by a Steemit user. Its only for posting memes. When you post your meme on Dmania it shows up in your blog feed. I guess there are some huge Meme fans. I think its a good gateway for IG and FB user to come over anf join steemit

The interesting thing is the disparity in upvotes between a post with a strong message and of one that has only pictures or just one picture in them. It gets demoralizing for some to discover their well written piece to be upvoted by a few Steemians and someone else’s post with one picture to have 10 to 100 times more upvotes than them. But then again, a picture speaks a thousand words, eh?

I think this my friend is more a question of your status inside the community. For example user with a high reputation gets in most of the times more upvotes then someone with a lower rep.
It's also a question of visibility.
Those people are known in the community but newcomers need to hustle their way up.
In know from myself. In the beginning the post you shared don't get much attention.
Keep on steemin and. Connect with others here, work on your reputation and you will see a diffference :)

I actually do share quite lengthy posts on instagram, i am sharing around the same length on here, but I do fill instagram with more inane pics for sure. I think I use this platform as a cross between youtube, insta, fb page and blog. Wheras on instagram I might make several postings for a trip etc on here I would make one and then put all the images into one article and add the text. I honestly feel like unless your writing about blockchain ppl like shorter articles of a few paragraphs and some images but I could be wrong as I am quite new but I don't see long well constructed artcles do so well on the whole. If I'm sharing the video I just do that with a short discription since I put everything I want to say in the video and spent time recording it I don't feel it needs an article repeating everything and if I am sharing my artwork just a short description. I am still learning the ropes but I feel like for the first days I'm pretty happy with where it is heading. I think I just use it as a way to mix all the platforms into one.

Yes, everyone needs to figure out what is best himself.
I find your way of doing quite intersting.
It depends also on what kind of posting type you are.
Some people are better at playing with words and too shy to post pictures of themselves for example.
In my opinion, it's important totests many things to try and see what works for someone. Keep on going your way :)

lol yeah, not every post as i'll also share snap shots but I do share a number of posts this long, where all my time goes haha
