Recently, I've noticed a lot controversy concerning the 'Whales' of Steemit. Many people are calling them out for having such a major impact on the popularity of posts. Please remember, these whales are exactly the same as you.
Many of the Whales are early investors of Steemit, these are the people that saw the same potential of that YOU do now, except that saw it when steemit was still in its infancy (or at least before steemit blew up to be as big as it is now, I would still consider this the beginning of something great).
Just like you, they want this community to blossom into something great that everyone can enjoy, regardless of how much money is being made. If you are writing just for the money, you're doing it wrong.
