You hit the nail on the head, with the batshit crazy comment about many people who reply to posts here. Until this place normalizes a little bit its going be very difficult for Steemit to gain mainstream acceptance.

I also agree concerning all of the self aggrandizing that takes place here. People need to quit promoting Steemit to Steemit users on Steemit. Lots of posts are made that do this very thing on a regular basis .

Having said all that I have reservations that things will change.
