Gear Shot: Post Pictures of Your Gear!

in steemit •  8 years ago

Many of us got started here on Steemit because of our passion. I see a lot of people posting photos of food, pets, among other things. What I haven't seen so far are pictures of what gear people use. What are you guys using to create those great photos/food/etc.?

*I would love to know so either comment here or make a post about your gear and why you love using it! Let's get this thing going! Don't forget to tag your posts with "gearshot" so we know.

*It can be any kind of hobby, not just photography. For example: photos of your PC gaming setup!

I'll start off:

My Fuji XE1 with my XF 35mm and XF 18-55mm lenses. I've had her for more than 5 years now and she is still going strong. One of the best cameras I've ever used. I would say Fuji has one of the best out-of-camera Jpegs out there! It takes amazing RAW photos as well. They also have really good prime lenses and one of the best 18-55 kit lens too. The only problem would be the slow autofocus and I know they already have new models out, but I just can't seem to let go of this one! I'm planning on adding a nice wide angle prime lens to my Fuji collection soon.

My most recent acquisition: DJI Mavic Pro. What an amazing piece of machinery this is! More than enough features for a drone enthusiast and amateur photographer/videographer. Of course there are way better (and more expensive) drones out there, but none as feature packed and small as this one! Once you have a drone, you will learn to look at things at a different perspective than if you only had a handheld camera with you. Just be mindful of the FAA rules and make sure to research before getting one. Highly recommended otherwise!
