Wow, so I can reblog my own reblogs of any post made? Used for others though, it is better support than promoting.

This got me into a mind loop, again. It is possible for me to reblog my own posts with this, even replies, but that does feel the same for me as upvoting myself. Yes, it could have made me some extra Steem Backed Dollar {SBD} and Steem Power {SP}, but I just does not feel right for me to do so. Went through my previous posts, almost clicking the 'reblog' symbol on that one big hit, could it score again? But then again, that feels improper to me. Don't know, maybe it is crazy. Have no problem if others do use it though, just to make it clear, it really is a personal thing. Not even an issue, it just is the way it is. And so, moving on, what about that 'reblog' function then, aye?

Made me think about the promotion button becoming obsolete in effect. Reblogging is very powerfull, where promoting a post is just a big gamble. By using 'reblog' you can actually share articles that matter to you. Or introduce some Steemers you follow to the ones that are following you in their feed. And there are some replies that have been written that could be blogposts in themselves. By a reblog it will stay out of the 'tjeeta' claws and so on, while still getting more attention across the network. So, at first sight I do appreciate this new extension to Steem(It). And maybe I will use the promote button for my own posts, but I'm not sure if I will use that one at all. Or it must be because I know 'burning' some Steem Backed Dollar {SBD} is good for the intrensic value of Steem {STM}.

Maybe some confusing at first. Reblogs appearing in the same 'tab' as post made by myself. But, Steem(It) is still in Beta so anything could change really. Maybe another 'tab' that says 'reblog', or some visual mark that shows it is a reblog at the user page too, just like it appears in the feed. Still fun to be here, with these changes taking place every now and then. Curious to see where this one takes SteemIt next. Maybe in the beginning a lot of reblogging will be done, cooling down after a while. At least I know at first I was like: "OOH YEAH, REBLOG, REBLOG, REBLOG, WOOT WOOT!", but I've allready calmed down a bit.

These are exciting times, being able to get payed fully in Steem Power {SP} per post, The first SteemFest conference just around the corner (in time and space) and now another great function added in the form of 'reblog'. Almost makes me wonder if there are still things that can suprise met like maybe another Graphene base project, BlockPay hitting the streets, Steem SideChains and stuff like that. Anyway, still more to come... So, steem on!

Have a good one!

The same thoughts practically...

I guess there are many currently active at SteemIt who are in sync about this right now @borishaifa.

I tried and I could not reblog myself.

Yes, correct, it is greyed out and you get an error message.

I think it's not efficient in reblogging your own posts. Just think about it. If you are reblogging - you are letting see thist post only to your followers. It's not appearing again in main steemit feed(new, active etc.) So - to the people who theoretically had seen your post already. And voted already.

Not using it for my own posts. Allthough some posts have not been seen by the most who follow me. Because they gave not been there from the start.

Still, I prefer to use it for reblogging posts I appreciate, made by others.

Same here man!!! I was thinking about the same thing @oaldamster

Amazing @funnyman, maybe a lot of humans have a synchronic mindset.

may be :)

:-)

I think it depends on the content. If it creates value to the audience I would. For example How To Guides. Anyways you cannot reblog your own posts only the ones from other authors.

Hm, you've got a good point there @steempowerwhale.

Did not know that, saw the sign for reblogging. Thanks for clearing this up.
{On closer inspection it seems to be greyed out indeed.}
